DR. MARY LARSON, MPH, LRD, CDE, CHES

Mary is a licensed, registered dietitian. She is also a certified health education specialist (C.H.E.S.). In 2009, after two years of “on-the-job” training at Family HealthCare Center, Mary was certified as a diabetes educator by the National Certification Board for Diabetes Educators. As a Lifestyle Medicine provider, Mary educates and motivates Family HealthCare Center patients in nutrition, health, and diabetes management.

Mary has B.A. in biology, and health and fitness, from Gustavus Adolphus College. She also has a degree in human nutrition and a Master’s of Public Health (M.P.H) from the University of Minnesota. Mary earned her Ph.D. in teaching and learning, and research methodologies, from the University of North Dakota.

Mary enjoys time with her husband and her children. She also loves to travel, exercise (especially soccer) and watch movies. Mary's passion for health and wellness extends to the kitchen where she loves to cook for family and friends.
