As a clinical pharmacist, Dr. Ottney provides education to patients about their medications, delivers drug information to both patients and providers, and assists with disease state management for patients with chronic conditions. She also helps manage patients on anticoagulant therapy at the clinic and provides tobacco cessation services.

Dr. Ottney graduated from pharmacy school at the University of Wyoming with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree. She completed one year of pharmacy residency training at a hospital in Missoula, Montana where she also did some teaching at the University of Montana. She recently became board certified as a pharmacotherapy specialist (BCPS).

In addition to her position at the Family HealthCare Center, Dr. Ottney is also an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at North Dakota State University, teaching in pharmacotherapy and pathophysiology and precepting pharmacy students on their ambulatory care clinical clerkship at the Family HealthCare Center.

Dr. Ottney is married and currently lives in Fargo. In her spare time she and her husband enjoy running, playing tennis and anything that keeps them outside.
