About Kayla Nelson, DNP, FNP-C
As a Family Nurse Practitioner, Kayla is devoted to providing quality, holistic healthcare to patients of all ages. She focuses on health promotion and disease prevention in order to improve the health and well-being of individuals, families, and the community as a whole. Her other interests include women’s health, mental health, cardiology, and endocrinology.
Kayla graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. She then obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.
Licensure and Memberships
Kayla is board certified to practice medicine through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed by the state of North Dakota to provide family-centered healthcare to patients of all ages. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, North Dakota Nurse Practitioner Association (NDNPA), and is a former Jonas Scholar.
Interests and Activities
Along with spending time with family and friends, Kayla enjoys traveling, reading, running, and animals.
