North Dakota: February 15th – August 15th
Minnesota: February 15th – May 17th
This special enrollment period is a time to enroll in health coverage for plan year 2021. You do not need to experience a life change in order to qualify for this special enrollment period. Beginning April 1st, additional assistance is available to lower the monthly premiums for those who qualify. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) designated Family HealthCare to provide non-biased consumer assistance for the Health Insurance Marketplace, Medicaid, and MNSure. Family HealthCare is fortunate to have Certified Application Counselors (CAC), along with North Dakota and Minnesota Navigators that help consumers understand, apply for, and enroll in health coverage through the Marketplace, Medicaid, or MNSure. These services are at no cost and available to North Dakota and Minnesota residents.

North Dakota Navigators
Our Navigators provide outreach to community partners such as Salvation Army, New Life Center, Prairie St. Johns, Cass County Social Services, YWCA, Job Service, Southeast Human Service Center, Gladys Ray, and Centre.
Family HealthCare joined the Navigator program in 2015 and is a private non-profit federally qualified Community Health Center, the largest health center in North Dakota. They are working to reduce the number of uninsured in North Dakota and provide outreach and education to the entire state.
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Accessibility
CMS provides free auxiliary aids and services including information in accessible formats like Braille, large print, data/audio files, relay services and TTY communications. If you request information in an accessible format from CMS, you won’t be disadvantaged by any additional time necessary to provide it. This means you will get extra time to take any action if there’s a delay in fulfilling your request.
